A sport of *Hosta* 'Dee's Golden Jewel' registered in 2000, 'Jewel of the Nile' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its blue-green leaves with golden yellow margins. The leaf surface carries a glaucous bloom on both sides, and the cordate leaf base contributes to the plant's upright, substantial form.

In the Garden

This hosta reaches approximately 24 inches (61 cm) in diameter and 28 inches (71 cm) in height, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, where the blue-green leaf centers and gold margins remain most stable. The upright habit and medium size make it suitable for mid-border positions or as a specimen in shaded beds, paired with ferns, heucheras, or other shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes
