Registered in 2014 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Purple Rain', 'Simply Irresistible' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by bright yellow leaves with broad blue-green margins. The foliage exhibits a glaucous bloom on both surfaces, with slightly rippled margins and a semi-upright, arching habit.

In the Garden

This cultivar reaches a mature diameter of 22 inches (55.9 cm) and a height of 10 inches (25.4 cm), with scapes rising 12 to 14 inches (30.5 to 35.6 cm). It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, where the yellow leaf centers remain vibrant without scorching. The compact, upright form suits mixed shade borders, woodland gardens, or container plantings, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during the growing season, particularly in dry spells, and apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like many hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor accordingly in areas where these pests are prevalent.
