Registered in 2016, *Hosta* 'Proud Peacock' is a medium-sized tricolor cultivar distinguished by its vase-shaped habit and broad, feathered leaf margins. The leaves are blue-green with gold margins and a medium green intermediate zone, creating a three-color effect; the blade surface is dull above with a glaucous bloom beneath.

'Proud Peacock' reaches 17 inches (43.2 cm) in height and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, with an upright, moderate growth rate. It performs well in partially sunny locations, where the gold margins remain brightest, and is suitable for typical hosta-growing zones. Its vase-shaped form and tricolor foliage make it a strong accent in mixed shade borders or as a specimen in woodland gardens.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during active growth; apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new shoots emerge. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as with most hostas.
