Year registered2010
Section classIV-6a (Small)

Overview

A sport of *Hosta* 'Kiwi Full Monty' registered in 2010, 'Pin-up' is a small-sized cultivar distinguished by its blue-green leaves with pure white centers and broad, flat white margins. The leaf surface exhibits a glaucous bloom on both sides, and the plant produces glaucous blue-green scapes.

In the Garden

'Pin-up' forms a compact, mound-like clump reaching approximately 18.5 inches (47 cm) in height and 28.5 inches (72 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. Its small stature and white-centered foliage make it suitable for shaded borders, rock gardens, or container culture. The blue-green margins and white center provide contrast when planted near dark-leaved perennials such as *Heuchera* or ferns.

Care Notes

Grow in moist, well-drained soil in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones. Water regularly during dry periods; fertilize in early spring as growth emerges. The white leaf centers are more prone to sun scorch than solid green cultivars, so protection from afternoon sun is advisable. Slug and deer damage may occur and should be managed as with other hostas.
