Overview

A sport of *Hosta* 'Pin-up' registered in 2012, 'Erotica' is a small, fast-growing cultivar distinguished by its blue-green leaves with gold margins and a unique, broad white line that separates the margin from the leaf center. This variegation pattern, combined with a glaucous bloom on the leaf surface, gives the foliage a crisp, two-toned appearance.

In the Garden

'Erotica' forms a compact, mound-like clump reaching approximately 13 inches (34 cm) in height and 30 inches (75 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container culture. It performs best in partial to full shade, as is typical for blue-green hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, or other small shade perennials that complement its restrained size and cool leaf tones.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during the growing season, particularly in warmer climates, and apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. While 'Erotica' shows typical hosta resistance to deer, slug and snail damage may occur on the tender new foliage in damp conditions.
