A sport of *Hosta* 'Blue Blazes' registered in 2009, 'Blue Blazes Splashed' is a giant cultivar distinguished by its intensely blue-green leaves irregularly streaked with greenish yellow margins. The leaf coloration, combined with a slightly shiny upper surface and cupped, ovate form, creates a bold, variegated effect in the landscape.

This hosta forms a substantial, mound-like clump reaching 28 inches (71.1 cm) in height and 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter, with scapes rising 30 to 35 inches (76.2 to 88.9 cm). It performs best in partial to full shade, where the blue-green tones are most pronounced, and is well-suited as a specimen or accent in shaded borders, woodland gardens, or large containers. Companion plants such as ferns, astilbes, or shade-tolerant grasses complement its broad, textured foliage.
