Overview

Registered in 2010, 'Cosmic Charmer' is a giant hosta cultivar resulting from a cross between *H.* 'Fudge Ripple' and *H.* 'Blue Belly'. It is visually distinctive for its large, broadly ovate leaves with dark green centers that are streaked with medium green, surrounded by greenish-yellow to creamy white, slightly rippled margins.

'Cosmic Charmer' reaches a mature diameter of 44 inches (111.8 cm) and a height of 28 inches (71.1 cm), with scapes extending 44 to 48 inches (111.8 to 121.9 cm). Its substantial size and moderate corrugation make it suitable as a specimen or background plant in shaded borders and woodland gardens. It performs best in typical hosta-growing zones with partial to full shade.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most large-leaved hostas, it may be susceptible to slug damage and deer browsing.
