Registered in 2011, *Hosta* 'Academy Resplendent Froufrou' is a medium-sized cultivar of unknown pollen parentage, with *H.* 'Party Favor' as the pod parent. It is visually distinguished by its blue-green leaves with heavy, pronounced rippling along the margins, combined with a dull upper surface and a glaucous bloom beneath.

This cultivar forms a dense, mound-like clump reaching approximately 19 inches (48.3 cm) in height and 37 inches (94.0 cm) in diameter, with a fast growth rate. It is suitable for partial to full shade in typical hosta-growing zones, where its heavily rippled foliage provides textural contrast. The medium green scapes rise 24 to 32 inches (61.0 to 81.3 cm) above the foliage. It pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade perennials that complement its blue-green tones.
