Overview

Registered in 2015 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Deane's Dream', 'Valley's Paparazzi' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its intensely blue-green leaves with a narrow, white, slightly rippled margin. The combination of glaucous bloom on both leaf surfaces, purple petioles, and a white margin creates a crisp, high-contrast appearance.

'Valley's Paparazzi' forms an upright clump reaching approximately 16 inches (40 cm) in height and 28 inches (70 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, as is typical for blue-leaved hostas, where the glaucous bloom and margin contrast are most pronounced. The medium size and upright habit make it suitable for mid-border positions or as a specimen in shaded beds; it pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; standard preventive measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
