Overview
'Quiet Waters' (2008), a seedling of 'Aurora Borealis', has a second leaf margin that the registrant calls unique. Inside the medium green center comes a pure white, heavily rippled margin 0.5 to 1 in (1.3 to 2.5 cm) wide, and outside that a second, thin margin of medium green, 0.13 to 0.38 in (0.3 to 1 cm) wide. The registrant adds that both the outer green band and the center carry celadon streaking. The leaves are broadly ovate, dull on both sides, moderately cupped and deeply wavy.

The plant is registered as upright with a slow growth rate, at 26 in (66.0 cm) across and 13 in high.
How it compares
'Aurora Borealis', the pod parent, is registered far larger (38 by 24 in, leaves 13 by 11 in) with blue-green leaves and gold margins. It is itself a sport of 'Frances Williams'. 'Quiet Waters' keeps none of the blue or gold.
'Patriot', a sport of 'Francee' in the same show class, is dark green with a white margin 1 in wide, registered at 30 by 12 in. Its record has no second green rim or streaking.
'Cathy's Clown' (2011) is a mound registered at 36 by 16 in, with a flat creamy white margin of 0.75 in and a moderately wavy leaf, against the heavily rippled margin and deeply wavy leaf of 'Quiet Waters'.
