Overview

A sport of *Hosta* 'Golden Needles' registered in 2013, 'Needle's Eye' is a miniature hosta distinguished by its thick, broadly ovate leaves with pale yellow to creamy centers and narrow, flat green margins. The cultivar produces greenish-white scapes reaching 10.6 to 14.1 inches (27.0–35.9 cm) in height.

In the Garden

With a mature spread of approximately 7.4 inches (18.7 cm) and height of 6.3 inches (15.9 cm), 'Needle's Eye' forms a compact, fast-growing mound suited to the front of borders, rock gardens, or trough plantings. Its small size makes it an excellent candidate for container cultivation. Plant in partial to dappled shade with companions such as miniature ferns, *Heuchera*, or small sedges that complement its scale.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during the growing season and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, this cultivar is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and manage as needed in typical hosta-growing zones.
