H. ‘Lynne’

Overview

Registered in 1986 by H. Weissenberger, this miniature hosta originated as a hybrid of *Hosta* 'Blue Cadet'. It is distinguished by its blue-green foliage with subtle undulations along the leaf margins, typically displaying one to two waves per leaf.

In the Garden

'Hosta 'Lynne' reaches a mature diameter of 14 inches (35.6 cm) and a height of 10 inches (25.4 cm), making it suitable for small spaces, rock gardens, or container cultivation. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for blue-leaved hostas, and pairs well with other miniature perennials such as *Heuchera* or *Tiarella*. Its compact habit also suits trough gardens or the front of a shaded border.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor regularly and use barriers or repellents as needed in typical hosta-growing zones.
