Overview
Registered in 1986 by Paul Aden, this small hosta cultivar resulted from an open pollination of *Hosta* 'Little Aurora' with an unknown pod parent. The plant is visually defined by its compact mound of green leaves with chartreuse yellow-green margins, forming a dense, low rosette.
In the Garden
Reaching only 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) in height and 8 inches (20.3 cm) in diameter, 'Just So' is suited to the front of borders, rock gardens, or trough plantings. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and pairs well with other small perennials such as *Heuchera* or *Tiarella*. Its diminutive size makes it an excellent candidate for containers.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs may damage the foliage, but the small leaves are less attractive to deer than those of larger hostas.
