Registered in 2003, *Hosta* 'Jelly Roll Blues' is a large, upright cultivar of unknown pollen parentage, with *Hosta* 'William Lachman' as the pod parent. It is visually distinctive for its nearly round, blue-green leaves marked by unstable streaking in light green, dark green, greenish yellow, yellow, and creamy white, with slightly rippled, white margins.

'Jelly Roll Blues' reaches 27 inches (68.6 cm) in height and 36 inches (91.4 cm) in diameter, with a fast growth rate and upright habit. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials that complement its variegated foliage. Its large size makes it suitable as a specimen or in mixed borders, though it is not recommended for containers due to its dimensions.
