Registered in 1984 by Walters Gardens, Inc., *Hosta* 'Heartsong' is a sport of *Hosta* 'Candy Hearts' and forms a small, compact clump. Its leaves are medium green with creamy white margins, and the plant reaches 14 inches (35.6 cm) in both height and diameter.

In the Garden

This small hosta is well-suited for the front of a shaded border, rock gardens, or as an edging plant. With a mature spread of 14 inches (35.6 cm), it fits comfortably in containers or small spaces. It pairs effectively with other small shade perennials such as ferns, heucheras, or miniature hostas.

Care Notes

Grow in partial to full shade in typical hosta-growing zones, with consistent moisture. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs and deer may cause damage; monitor and manage as needed.
