Overview

Registered in 2016 by E. McHugh, this small hosta arose as a sport of *Hosta* 'Kiwi Full Monty'. It is distinguished by its blue-green leaves with streaked margins of green, yellow, and white, and by the retention of the white central line characteristic of the 'Striptease' lineage.

In the Garden

'Hosta 'Bubble Dance' forms a low, mound-like clump reaching 15 inches (38.1 cm) in height and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, and is well-suited to the front of borders, rock gardens, or containers due to its small size. Its muted, pastel leaf coloration pairs effectively with darker-leaved perennials such as heucheras or ferns.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as the foliage may be susceptible to browsing.
