Registered in 2014 by J. Miller and introduced by M. Rosenberg and J. Goodrich, this giant hosta is distinguished by its large, cupped, heavily corrugated leaves of medium blue-green with flat margins. The nearly round leaves with cordate bases and 14 to 15 vein pairs give the plant a substantial, textured appearance.

In the Garden

With a mature spread of 84 inches (213.4 cm) and height of 36 inches (91.4 cm), this cultivar requires ample space and performs best in partial to full shade typical of hosta-growing zones. Its upright, moderate growth habit makes it suitable as a specimen plant or as a backdrop in large shade borders, where its blue-green foliage contrasts well with golden or chartreuse companions.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, particularly during establishment, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as the large, cupped leaves can attract both pests.
