Registered in 2008 by V. Hildebrandt, this cultivar is a sport of *Hosta* 'Love Pat'. It is visually distinctive for its large, blue-green leaves with white margins and a white-misted center that creates a variegated effect across the leaf blade.

In the Garden

*Hosta* 'OHS Love in the Mist' is suited to partial to full shade, typical for blue-leaved hostas, where its color holds best. Mature plants reach large size, with leaves measuring 9 inches (22.9 cm) both in length and width. It pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade perennials that contrast with its broad, rounded foliage.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like many hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and manage as needed.
