Overview

A sport of *Hosta* 'Blue Mouse Ears Supreme' registered in 2013, 'Mighty Mini' is a small, mound-forming cultivar distinguished by its nearly round, medium blue-green leaves with flat, greenish-yellow margins. The marginal variegation measures 0.25 to 0.5 inches (0.6 to 1.3 cm) wide and, notably, does not turn white with maturity.

In the Garden

'Mighty Mini' reaches 6 inches (15.2 cm) in height and spreads to 13 inches (33.0 cm) in diameter, forming a compact, moderate-growing mound. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, and is well suited to rock gardens, troughs, or the front of shaded borders. Its small stature makes it an excellent choice for container cultivation, and it pairs effectively with other miniature hostas or fine-textured shade perennials such as ferns or *Heuchera*.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with most hostas, slug and deer damage may occur; monitor regularly and employ barriers or repellents if necessary.
