Overview

A sport of *Hosta* 'Purple Flame Forever', 'Kerfuffle' was registered in 2011 by an unknown originator. This small-sized cultivar is visually defined by its chartreuse leaves with broad, yellow, slightly rippled margins, forming a dense, mound-like habit.

In the Garden

'Kerfuffle' performs best in partial to full shade, reaching a mature spread of 22 inches (55.9 cm) and height of 12 inches (30.5 cm) with a moderate growth rate. Its small stature and compact form suit it well for the front of shaded borders, rock gardens, or container plantings, where it pairs effectively with other small hostas, ferns, or shade-tolerant groundcovers.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, particularly during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'Kerfuffle' is susceptible to slug and deer damage in typical hosta-growing zones.
