Its most distinctive visual feature is the combination of green leaf centers with heavily rippled, streaked greenish-yellow margins, which create a textured, irregular border on each leaf.

Reaching approximately 6 inches (15.2 cm) in height and 8 inches (20.3 cm) in diameter, this compact, upright-growing hosta is well suited for the front of a shaded border, rock garden, or container. It performs best in partial to full shade and pairs effectively with other small woodland perennials such as ferns or heucheras.
