Overview

Registered in 2006 by B. Dove, this medium-sized sport of *Hosta* 'Bright Glow' is distinguished by its greenish-yellow leaves with medium green, flat margins. The broad, ovate leaves are lightly cupped and folded, with moderate corrugation and a slightly shiny upper surface.

In the Garden

Mature plants form a mound 15 inches (38.1 cm) tall and 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. Suitable for partial to full shade in typical hosta-growing zones, it performs well in borders or as a groundcover specimen. The strong bicoloration provides contrast when paired with darker-leaved perennials or ferns.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods; apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs may damage foliage, and deer will browse the leaves if accessible.
