Its leaves are green with gold margins, a combination that creates a bright, contrasting appearance; the margins are described as yellow dark green, suggesting a nuanced edge coloration.

In the Garden

This cultivar reaches a mature diameter of 20 inches (50.8 cm) and a height of 16 inches (40.6 cm), making it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or as edging along pathways. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. Its small size also makes it an excellent candidate for container cultivation.
