Overview

Registered in 2006 by R. Savory, *Hosta* 'Diamond Jubilee' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its intensely blue-green leaves with a glaucous bloom and slightly rippled margins. The broadly ovate leaves, measuring 8.25 inches long and 6.25 inches wide with 12 to 13 vein pairs, exhibit deeply impressed veins and a cordate base, contributing to a loosely upright habit.

In the Garden

This cultivar forms a mound 22 inches high and 50 inches in diameter, with scapes reaching 18 to 24 inches. It performs best in partial to full shade, where its blue coloration is most pronounced. The moderate growth rate and upright form make it suitable for mid-border positions or as a specimen in shade gardens, pairing well with ferns, *Heuchera*, or other shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during establishment, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like many blue-leaved hostas, 'Diamond Jubilee' may be susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and manage as needed in typical hosta-growing zones.
