Hosta "Choo Choo Train" review
24" tall. Part Sun to Light Shade. Visitors to the 1991 Hosta Convention in Raleigh were amazed at this seedling in the garden of Tony Sears of Apex (the guy with the 2 mile railroad track in his garden). While it's taken a while to get this hosta propagated, the wait was well worth it. This giant golden hosta makes a stunning clump to 6' wide and 2' tall. The thick golden foliage is incredibly ruffled, making a statement from quite a distance. In summer, the clumps are topped with 3' scapes of near white flowers. Forms a clump up to 6' across with beautifully ruffled, nicely veined, greenish yellow leaves, broadly ovate. Pale lavender flowers.
