Registered in 1999 by an unknown hybridizer, 'Choo Choo Train' is a large hosta cultivar distinguished by its green leaves with gold margins and notably fast growth rate. The leaves measure 12 inches (30.5 cm) long and 7 inches (17.8 cm) wide, with dull surfaces on both sides and slightly rippled, greenish-yellow margins.

This cultivar forms a substantial mound 24 inches (61.0 cm) tall and 72 inches (182.9 cm) in diameter, making it suitable as a specimen or background plant in shaded to partially shaded borders. Its large size and fast spread allow it to fill space quickly, pairing well with ferns, astilbes, and other shade-tolerant perennials.
