Registered in 2000, 'Twist of Fate' is a medium-sized hosta arising from a hybrid of *Hosta ventricosa*. The cultivar is visually distinguished by its blue-green leaves with slightly rippled margins, a glaucous bloom on both surfaces, and upright, cordate foliage.

It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hosta-growing zones, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials.
