Registered in 2014, *Hosta* 'Sun Safari' is a large cultivar of unknown parentage, notable for its upright, pointed foliage and green leaves with gold margins. The leaves are broadly ovate with cordate bases, measuring 12 inches (30.5 cm) long by 9 inches (22.9 cm) wide, and feature yellow, slightly rippled margins with a slightly shiny upper surface and dull, white-backed undersides.

'Sun Safari' reaches a mature size of 24 inches (61.0 cm) in height and 36 inches (91.4 cm) in diameter, with an upright, moderately fast growth habit. Its large size and bold foliage make it suitable as a specimen or accent in mixed borders, where it pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials. The tall scapes, reaching 48 to 60 inches (121.9 to 152.4 cm), produce yellow to green flowers that rise well above the foliage.
