Overview

Registered in 2005, 'Patriot Colors' is a medium-sized hosta of unknown parentage, distinguished by its blue-green leaves with narrow, medium blue-green margins, white undersides, and reddish-pink petioles. The lance-shaped leaves, measuring 7 inches (17.8 cm) long and 5 inches (12.7 cm) wide, display a glaucous bloom on both surfaces and taper at the base.

This slow-growing, mound-forming cultivar reaches 7 inches (17.8 cm) in height and 13 inches (33.0 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container culture. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, or other shade-tolerant perennials that complement its compact habit and subdued foliage tones.

Care Notes
