The foliage is blue-green with golden yellow flat margins, creating a strong color contrast, and the leaves display a dull upper surface with a glaucous bloom beneath.

This cultivar reaches a mature diameter of 38 inches (96.5 cm) and a height of 27 inches (68.6 cm), with an upright, moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, as typical for blue-green hostas, where the leaf color remains truest.
