Overview
Registered in 2005 by P. & J. Ruh, *Hosta* 'Molly' is a sport of a yellow-streaked 'Krossa Regal'. It is distinguished by medium green leaves with light yellow margins that, unlike the similar 'Regal Splendor', remain yellow rather than fading to white.
In the Garden
'Molly' reaches 33 inches (83.8 cm) in height and 42 inches (106.7 cm) in diameter, with an upright, moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to dappled shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and its medium size suits it for mid-border positions or as a specimen in shade gardens. The blue-green scapes, reaching 43 to 47 inches (109.2 to 119.4 cm), elevate the pale lavender flowers above the foliage.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as with most hostas.
