Registered in 2011 as a sport of *Hosta* 'Rachel', 'Leona' is a medium-sized hosta cultivar distinguished by its blue-green leaves with radiant golden yellow margins. The broadly ovate, lightly wavy foliage exhibits a glaucous bloom on both surfaces, with eight vein pairs and a cordate base.

In the Garden

'Leona' forms a mound-like clump reaching 11 inches (27.9 cm) in height and 18 inches (45.7 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, where the gold margins maintain their brightest coloration without scorching. The compact size suits border fronts, rock gardens, or container plantings, and pairs well with ferns or other shade-tolerant perennials.

Care Notes
