Overview
Registered in 2008, *Hosta* 'Glen Fetish' is a medium-sized cultivar of unknown pollen parentage, with *H.* 'White Triumphator' as the pod parent. It is visually distinctive for its green leaves edged in golden yellow margins, which are arranged in layered tiers that form a tall, vase-shaped mound.
In the Garden
Reaching 32 inches (81.3 cm) in height and 36 inches (91.4 cm) in diameter, 'Glen Fetish' has a semi-upright habit and moderate growth rate. It exhibits outstanding sun tolerance for a hosta, making it suitable for brighter positions in the garden where many cultivars would scorch. The 8-inch (20.3 cm) leaves are lightly twisted and wavy, with dull surfaces above and below, and feature eight vein pairs; the flat golden yellow margins contrast sharply with the green centers. Companion plants should be chosen to complement the upright, layered form, such as ferns or shade-tolerant perennials with contrasting textures.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as growth emerges. As with most hostas, monitor for slug and deer damage, though the thick leaf texture may offer some resistance.
