Registered in 1995, *Hosta* 'Lakeside Pebbles' is a medium-sized variegated cultivar of unknown parentage. Its distinctive appearance features dark green leaves with smooth margins and a slightly shiny upper surface, forming a dense, mound-like habit.

In the Garden

This cultivar reaches 13 inches (33.0 cm) in height and 26 inches (66.0 cm) in diameter, with a moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, where its dark green leaves contrast well with lighter-foliaged companions such as ferns or *Heuchera*. The 15 to 20 inch (38.1 to 50.8 cm) dark green scapes bear flowers that rise above the foliage mound.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with most hostas, slug and deer damage may occur and should be managed through appropriate barriers or deterrents.
