The cultivar is notable for its nearly round, cup-shaped leaves that measure 7 inches (17.8 cm) in both length and width, with a dull surface on both top and underside.

This hosta forms a dense clump reaching 19 inches (48.3 cm) in height and 28 inches (71.1 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for mid-border positions or as a specimen in shaded beds. It performs best in partial to full shade with consistent moisture, and its dark green foliage provides contrast when paired with golden or blue-leaved hostas, ferns, or shade-tolerant perennials such as *Heuchera* or *Astilbe*.
