Overview

Registered in 2009, *Hosta* 'Jubilee' is a medium-sized cultivar of unknown pollen parentage, with *H.* 'Pin Stripe Sister' as its pod parent. It is visually distinctive for its medium green leaves edged with a wide, yellow, slightly rippled margin, creating a striking green-yellow variegation.

In the Garden

'Jubilee' forms a moderate-growing, mound-like clump reaching 12 inches (30.5 cm) in height and 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of most hostas, and is suitable for borders, woodland gardens, or as a specimen in shaded beds. Its medium size and dull leaf surfaces make it a good companion for ferns, heucheras, and other shade perennials.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain even soil moisture, especially during dry periods. Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'Jubilee' is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and manage as needed in typical hosta-growing zones.
