Overview
Registered in 2000, this small hybrid of *Hosta* 'Fascination' produces a compact mound of variegated foliage. Its leaves are light green with slightly rippled margins, streaked with lighter coloration, and exhibit a dull upper surface with a slightly shiny underside.
In the Garden
With a mature diameter of 22 inches (55.9 cm) and height of 10 inches (25.4 cm), 'Jazz Matazz' forms a tidy mound suitable for the front of a border or as edging. It performs best in partial to dappled shade, typical for variegated hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and small shade perennials. Its small size also makes it appropriate for container cultivation.
Care Notes
Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, particularly during dry periods. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor and manage as needed.
