Registered in 1982 by K. Anderson, this giant hosta cultivar produces broad, satiny green leaves with wide yellow margins and 12 vein pairs. Its substantial foliage and upright habit create a bold, sculptural presence in the garden.

In the Garden

Reaching 30 inches (76.2 cm) in height and 40 inches (101.6 cm) in diameter, 'Golden Sculpture' forms a large, rounded clump suitable for mid-border or specimen placement. It performs best in partial to full shade, where the yellow margins remain brightest without scorching. Pair with ferns, astilbes, or other shade-tolerant perennials that contrast with its broad leaves.

Care Notes

Water regularly during dry spells to maintain leaf turgor. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as shoots emerge. Monitor for slug and deer damage, which can disfigure the large leaves.
