Overview

Registered in 2008 by R. Keller and White Oak Nursery, *Hosta* 'Finn's Finest' is a sport of *H. 'Amy Elizabeth'* distinguished by its unusually wide, medium blue-green margins surrounding a greenish yellow leaf center. The broadly ovate leaves, measuring 5 inches (12.7 cm) long and 4 inches (10.2 cm) wide, exhibit a slight twist and wave, with a dull upper surface and a glaucous bloom beneath.

In the Garden

This small-sized hosta forms an upright clump reaching 13 inches (33.0 cm) in height and 21 inches (53.3 cm) in diameter, with a fast growth rate. It thrives in partial to full shade, typical for blue-green cultivars, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, or other small hostas in woodland borders or rock gardens. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for container cultivation.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer deterrents may be necessary, as hostas are susceptible to both.
