Registered in 1988 by Walters Gardens, Inc., 'Crescent Moon' is a medium-sized sport distinguished by its medium green leaves with pure white margins. The foliage measures 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) long by 5.5 inches (14.0 cm) wide, with 10 to 11 vein pairs, and forms a symmetrical mound.

In the Garden

This cultivar reaches 22 inches (55.9 cm) in height and spreads to 28 inches (71.1 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for mid-border positions in partial to full shade. Its white-margined leaves provide contrast when paired with dark-leaved perennials such as ferns or *Heuchera*. The scapes rise 28 to 30 inches (71.1 to 76.2 cm) above the foliage.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture during the growing season; apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. As with most hostas, protect from slugs and deer in typical hosta-growing zones.
