Registered in 2009 by K. Walek, 'Aspen Breeze' is a medium-sized sport of *Hosta* 'Aspen Gold'. It is visually defined by its golden yellow leaves edged with narrow white margins, a color pattern that distinguishes it from its parent.

In the Garden

This cultivar reaches a mature size of 15 inches (38.1 cm) in height and 30 inches (76.2 cm) in diameter, with a semi-upright, moderate growth habit. It performs best in partial to full shade, where its bright foliage provides contrast against darker-leaved perennials such as ferns or *Heuchera*. Its medium size makes it suitable for border fronts or shaded containers.

Care Notes

Water regularly during dry periods, particularly in the first growing season. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage; protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
