Registered in 1986 by the American Hosta Society, *Hosta* 'Wogon' is a small-sized cultivar of unknown parentage. Its distinctive foliage features green leaves with bright yellow margins, creating a clear bicolor effect that persists through the growing season.

In the Garden

'Wogon' forms a compact mound reaching 14 inches (35.6 cm) in height and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings. It performs best in partial to dappled shade, where the yellow margins remain brightest, and pairs well with other small hostas, ferns, or shade-tolerant groundcovers such as *Lamium* or *Heuchera*.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, 'Wogon' is susceptible to slug and deer damage; monitor regularly and use barriers or repellents as needed in typical hosta-growing zones.
