Overview

Registered in 2012, *Hosta* 'Post-it' is a sport of *H.* 'Mango Tango' distinguished by small, nearly round leaves with green centers and gold, slightly rippled margins. The leaf surface is slightly shiny above and dull beneath, with a cordate base and moderate waviness.

In the Garden

This small cultivar reaches approximately 13.75 inches (34.9 cm) in height and 23.6 inches (59.9 cm) in diameter at maturity, with an upright growth habit and moderate growth rate. It performs best in partial to dappled shade, typical for hostas, and is well-suited to rock gardens, troughs, or the front of shaded borders. Its compact size makes it an excellent candidate for container culture. Companion plants include small ferns, heucheras, or miniature sedges.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain consistent moisture, especially during dry periods; apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it is susceptible to slug and deer damage, so protective measures may be necessary in areas where these pests are prevalent.
