Registered in 2007, *Hosta* 'Winter's Edge' is a sport of *Hosta* 'Winter Lightning' distinguished by its small stature and subtle variegation of light green leaves with narrow greenish-yellow margins. The cultivar forms a dense, mound-like clump and is noted for its tolerance of sunnier positions than many hostas.

'Winter's Edge' reaches a mature diameter of approximately 51 inches (130 cm) and a height of 24 inches (61 cm), making it suitable for the middle to front of a shaded border or as a groundcover in dappled light. Its compact size and sun tolerance allow placement in areas with morning sun or filtered light, where the leaf margin variegation remains visible. It pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other small to medium perennials, and is appropriate for container cultivation given its moderate growth rate.

Care Notes
