A sport of *Hosta* 'Summer Breeze', registered in 2004, 'Summer Lovin' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its dark green leaf centers and broad gold margins. The leaves measure 7 inches (17.8 cm) in length and 5 inches (12.7 cm) in width, with margins approximately 1.25 inches (3.2 cm) wide, producing a darker green center than its parent.

'Summer Lovin' reaches a mature size typical of medium hostas, suitable for partial to full shade in typical hosta-growing zones. Its gold-margined foliage provides contrast when paired with blue-leaved hostas or fine-textured shade perennials such as ferns or heucheras. The plant's medium stature makes it appropriate for mid-border positions or as a specimen in shaded beds.
