Overview

Registered in 2009, *Hosta* 'Strawberry Yogurt' is a small, fast-growing cultivar resulting from a cross between *Hosta* 'Raspberry Sorbet' and *Hosta* 'Shining Tot'. It forms a dense, low mound of medium blue-green foliage with flat margins and a slightly shiny surface on both leaf sides.

In the Garden

This small hosta reaches approximately 6 inches (15.2 cm) in height and 16 inches (40.6 cm) in diameter, making it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings. It performs best in partial to full shade, as typical for blue-green hostas, and pairs well with other small perennials such as *Heuchera* or ferns. Its compact, mound-like habit and fast growth rate allow it to fill space quickly in shaded areas.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Like most hostas, it may be susceptible to slug damage and deer browsing in garden settings.
