Overview
Registered in 2009, 'Azuretini' is a small hosta cultivar derived from a golden yellow sport of *Hosta* 'Blue Dimples' pollinated by *Hosta* 'Shining Tot'. It forms a compact, semi-upright mound of medium blue-green, ovate leaves with slightly rippled margins and a light glaucous bloom on the upper surface.
In the Garden
'Azuretini' reaches approximately 22 inches (55.9 cm) in diameter and 10 inches (25.4 cm) in height, with a fast growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, where its blue-green foliage maintains its color and the slight waviness of the leaf margins is most pronounced. The small size and semi-upright habit make it suitable for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container plantings; it pairs well with other small hostas or fine-textured shade perennials such as ferns or heucheras.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture during the growing season, particularly in warmer climates, and apply a balanced slow-release fertilizer in early spring. Like most hostas, 'Azuretini' may be susceptible to slug and deer damage in typical hosta-growing zones.
