Registered in 2000 by P. Bennerup, this small-sized cultivar is a sport of *Hosta* 'Striptease'. It is visually distinctive for its grayish-green leaves with irregular streaked and striped variegation, slightly rippled margins, and a flat leaf base.
In the Garden
'Hosta 'Outer Limits' forms a mound 12 inches (30.5 cm) tall and 24 inches (61.0 cm) in diameter, with a fast growth rate. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical for hostas, and pairs well with ferns, heucheras, and other shade-tolerant perennials.
