Overview

Registered in 2002, *Hosta* 'Memories' is a small, upright cultivar of uncertain parentage, with *Hosta rectifolia* as the pod parent. It is visually distinctive for its lance-shaped, medium green leaves with narrow, creamy white, slightly rippled margins and subtle lighter green streaking, borne on a compact mound.

In the Garden

'Hosta' forms a dense, upright mound reaching approximately 7.5 inches (19.1 cm) in height and 19.5 inches (49.5 cm) in diameter. Its small size and bright flowers make it well suited for the front of borders, rock gardens, or container culture. It performs best in partial to full shade, typical of hosta-growing zones, and pairs well with other small perennials such as *Heuchera* or ferns.

Care Notes

Provide consistent moisture, especially during dry periods, and apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Slugs and deer may damage foliage; monitor regularly and apply controls as needed.
