Registered in 2010 by R. Kuenster, *Hosta* 'Lime Wrinkles' is a medium-sized cultivar distinguished by its deeply corrugated, broadly ovate leaves with light greenish-yellow margins and a slightly shiny upper surface. The leaf blade is moderately cupped, and the plant produces upright foliage with 13 to 15 vein pairs.

In the Garden

'Lime Wrinkles' reaches a mature spread of 28 inches (71.1 cm) and a height of 18 inches (45.7 cm), with scapes rising 36 to 40 inches (91.4 to 101.6 cm). It performs best in partial to full shade, as is typical for hostas, and its moderate growth rate makes it suitable for mixed perennial borders or woodland gardens. The yellow, puckered leaves provide textural contrast when paired with ferns or finer-leaved shade perennials.

Care Notes

Water regularly to maintain consistent soil moisture, particularly during dry periods. Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring as new growth emerges. Standard slug and deer precautions are advisable, as the corrugated leaves may offer some shelter for pests.
