Overview
Registered in 2005 by H. Hansen and introduced by Naylor Creek Nursery and M. Fransen, this miniature hosta results from an open pollination of *Hosta* 'Lemon Delight' with an unknown pollen parent. *Hosta* 'Lime Fizz' is distinguished by its small, medium-green leaves edged with crisp, narrow white margins.
In the Garden
This compact cultivar reaches a mature size of approximately 4 inches (10.2 cm) in leaf length and 1 inch (2.5 cm) in width, forming a low, dense clump suitable for rock gardens, troughs, or the front of shaded borders. It performs best in partial to full shade and pairs well with other miniature hostas, small ferns, or fine-textured groundcovers such as *Chrysogonum virginianum*. Its miniature stature makes it an excellent choice for container cultivation.
Care Notes
Provide consistent moisture during the growing season and apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring. As with most hostas, protect from slugs and snails, and note that deer may browse the foliage.
